Ferrari Brochures Literature Memorabilia Manuals and Collectibles
This is an official Ferrari factory issued postcard of Mike Hawthorn that has been signed by "The Drake", Enzo Ferrari, himself on October 24, 1958.
The handwritten text on the back reads "Molti Ringraziamenti e cordiale saluti" and is signed by Enzo in his characteristic violet ink.
The text loosely translates into "Many thanks and kind regards".
It is hand-dated "24/10/1958" and it carries the usual logos as visible in the photographs.
The card is in near mint condition, especially considering its age but, as clearly visible in the photos, somewhere in its life it got holes punched into it for archiving... sad... but irreversible....Had it not had these holes, it would surely be twice as expensive... if you could find one.
The front, in landscape format, shows a concentrated Mike at the wheel of his Ferrari F1 car while wearing his characteristic helmet. This image is extremely powerful and iconic for this era.
A scarce postcard by itself, it becomes very rare thanks to Enzo's handwritten text and signature but the date makes it extremely collectible... October 24, 1958 was a mere three (3!) month before Mike Hawthorn would get killed at the Guildford bypass...
A great loss to Formula 1...
Only 1 available of course as every autographed item is unique and we provide a Certificate of Authenticity with it which guarantees that this is a genuine signature.

Vintage 1975 24 Heures du Mans Race Poster.
June 14 & 15, 1975.
77 x 60 cm.31 x 23.5 inches.
Near MINT condition.
A VERY scarce poster due to its unusual size and in this condition.
The 1975 poster was the start of a new era in Le Mans posters which ran from 1975 to 1980 and is symbolized by "Early Sponsorship and Advertising" where actual advertising appeared on the posters.
The advertising (in this case French cigarette brand Gitanes) stands out in the symbol of safety represented by the helmet in which the terraces in front of the main grandstands are reflected. Although striking from a marketing point of view, the poster lacks an essential piece of information... the year!
The poster is based on a touched-up color photo by Schwager while the production was in hands of Rousseau.
The race was won by Jackie Ickx and Derek Bell in their Nr 11 Gulf Mirage Gr. 8 with a total of 336 laps to their name.
For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1975.
Only 1 available.
This poster will be shipped, rolled, in a sturdy tube.

1965 Enzo Ferrari signed Le Mie Gioie Terribili Due Anni Dopo.
The title of Le Mie Gioie Terribili - Due Anni Dopo loosely translates into "My terrible joys - Two Years later" was one of the so called "Enzo Ferrari Authored presentation books".
The original, "Le Mie Gioie Terribili", was first issued in November 1962 and this "Two years later" version was published in November 1964 with this being the print run of November 1965.
These books were authored by Enzo Ferrari and were never for sale to the general public but were usually given to patrons, potential patrons, and visitors to the Ferrari factory. The books were always limited editions although the actual number of printed books varies.
As can be seen in the pictures, which are of the actual book up for sale here, the book is in good condition but the dust jacket has somewhat suffered over the last half-a-century.
The book has been hand signed on the title page by Enzo Ferrari himself and he has dated his signature "65" which means that that must have been done in November or December 1965.
1965 Enzo Ferrari signed Le Mie Gioie Terribili Due Anni Dopo
This is an official Ferrari factory issued postcard of Michael "Mike" Parkes that has been autographed by "The Drake", Enzo Ferrari, himself on May 12, 1963.
The handwritten text on the back reads "Grazie e cordialissimi" and is signed by Enzo in his characteristic violet ink.
The type-written text in the bottom left corner dates the signature to February 9, 1967 with Modena as location.
The card is in more than excellent, near-mint, condition considering its age.

Original 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans Poster.
June 18 and 19, 2016.
57 x 42 cm.22.4 x 16.5 inches.
Probably the most controversial 24 Heures du Mans of the last two decades!
The 2016 Le Mans poster is part of the era in Le Mans posters which is generally described as "The Le Mans Poster in the era of computer graphics and sponsorship" and which lasts from 2001 until the current day.
The 84th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours is placed under the banner of the Myth of the 24 Hours and the poster leaves no questions about that!
A cleaner and less figurative universe than in the past, which fits perfectly with the new slogan: "Le Mans MYTHIQUE" which probably requires no translation...
This time, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest collaborates with the Bronx communications agency while the photo of the Porsche 919 was provided by Porsche themselves.
The event was, controversially, won by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb in their Number 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid.
Ferrari raked-up the first three paces in class GTE Am with a 488 GTE and 2 458 Italia's.
For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 2016.

Vintage Original 1960 24 Heures du Mans Poster Department of Transportation.
1960 Le Mans multicolor tourist advertising poster with photo by Yves Debraine, France, using the same artwork at that year's official event poster.
This poster was published by the French Government's office of Transportation and Tourism.
It features the start of the 1959 race with all the cars coming onto the course with the grandstands and pits filled to capacity.
Despite not being the event's poster, this poster is actually at least as scarce as, or even scarcer than the event poster and should not be missing in any serious Le Mans collection.
Measures approximately:16 x 23 inches41 x 58 cm
More than excellent condition for its age with some minute fraying at the top and bottom which only adds to the fantastic patina of this poster.
The race was won by Paul Frère and Olivier Gendebien in their Nr 11 Ferrari 250 TR 59/60 S/N 0774TR with a total of 314 laps to their name.
For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1960.

Ferrari factory original 1984 Ferrari BB 512 i Service Times Schedule.
The schedules are used by servicing dealers to determine how many hours of labor they can charge for a particular service or repair job.
Comes in the original blue binder with silk-screened text and logo.
Good and apparently unused condition but with a good degree of foxing to the title page.
The photos are of the actual manual that is up for sale here so you are invited to form your own judgment on its condition.
Ferrari Print Number 301/84, issued in 1984.
Exceptionally useful for the Ferrari home mechanic as it indicates how much time a qualified Ferrari technician is allowed to spend on maintenance and repairs tasks, giving a good impression of how "big" the task is that you want to tackle but above all, it is of course an absolute MUST-HAVE for the discerning Ferrari BB512i owner.

1979 Monaco Grand Prix Program Booklet.
The race was held on May 27, 1979 and was won by Jody Scheckter on Ferrari 312T4 who also set the pole position. Jody would of course go on to become the 1979 Formula One World Champion.
Fastest lap went to Patrick Depailler in the Ligier JS11.
Second place went to Clay Regazzoni on Williams while the podium was completed by Carlos Reutemann on Lotus.
It was also the very last race in the Formula One career of James Hunt.
Ferrari also entered a Ferrari 312 T4 for Gilles Villeneuve but Gilles suffered from transmission problems while in second place and failed to finish the race.
The multi-media drawing used for the cover was from the hand of Alain Giampaoli who was also responsible for the 1978 poster, the 1979 poster and later on also for the 1997 poster.
The production of the publicity material was again in the hands of the AIP advertising agency from Monte-Carlo.
The same image was used for the poster as well as for the Rules & Regulations booklet.
It measures some 15.5 x 23.5 cm or 6.1 x 9.25 inches and counts 88 pages.
We would call it in excellent, near mint, condition for its age but the photos are of the actual program that is up for sale here, so we invite you to be your own judge on its condition.

1954 Ferrari 375 MM Spider Sales Brochure Merritt 117 in English.
This is an original 1954 oversized postcard / sales flyer for the Ferrari 375 Mille Miglia as listed in Richard Merritt's book on page 117 - 118.
The front shows a great shot S/N 0460AM (believed to be the oldest Ferrari still in the hands of its original owner / family) while the rear falsely shows the caption "410 Superamerica" along with the specs in English.
This is what Richard Merritt wrote about it:This fantastic Ferrari 375 MM Farina roadster, number 0460-AM, (and here mis-named as a 410 SA), is still in the hands of the original owner and looks this nice even today. It is felt that the specifications, which show data for a 410 version, indicate an intention at the time to produce a small series which failed to materialize. The only major difference between the 375 and 410 engines was the increased bore, from 84 to 88 millimeters. The fitting of front bumperettes perhaps would indicate that this car was intended primarily for normal street usage. However, there are no provisions for windshield wipers, a top, or easy entrance for the elegantly dressed lady.
As visible in the photos, it carries the stamp of Luigi Chinetti on the back as well as a date stamp (JUL 15 1957).
It is in a more than excellent condition for its age and is a rare opportunity. The photos are of the actual card up for sale so please be your own judge on its condition.
It measures approximately 21 x 15 cm or some 8.5 x 6 inches.
Merritt reference: Pages 117 + 118.

Here we have an original, early 2014 introduction package for the Ferrari California T.
As the production of elaborate brochures for the more recent models is running behind on the actual production of the cars, sometimes intermediate documentation is issued.
This small portfolio is such an intermediate item.
Issued in Dutch language for The Netherlands, the set consists of an envelope / portfolio with 3 very luxurious cards in it.
The portfolio carries the already famous California T logo on the front and a stylized drawing of the car on the back.
The individual cards show (stunning !) photographs of all aspects of the car and on the back of each card does it elaborate on the new concept.
Of course all text is Dutch making this a fantastic and rare but also a incomprehensible-for-most-English-speakers collectible!
The cards measure some 20.4 x 14.5 cm or roughly 8 x 5.7 inches.
Launched in February 2014, the T in the moniker stands for Turbo, a technology Ferrari last used on a road car on the F40.
It does NOT carry a Ferrari Print Number.
Brand new condition.
Only a few available.
