Vintage 1959 COLOR photo of Ferrari 250 GT Interim SN 1461GT - 24 Heures du Mans - Andre Pilette / George Arents.

This is an ultra scarce vintage color photograph of the Ferrari 250 GT Interim (S/N 1461GT) of George Arents and Andre Pilette en route to a 4th place overall during the 1959 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The duo finished the race with a total of 296 laps to their name.

The car survives to this day and seems to reside in Rome, Italy, since the late 1970's.

The photo measures some 17 x 13 cm or 7 x 5 inches.

It is in more than excellent condition.

The race was won by Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby in their # 5 Aston Martin DBR1/300 (S/N 2) with a total of 323 laps to their name.

This is a modern print from the vintage negative, of a pitstop during the 1960 24 Heures du Mans, showing the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB of George Arents & Alan Connell Jr.

The photo has never been published.

The car (S/N 1931GT), which was entered by the NART, finished the race in a respectable 5th position with 300 lapes or 4,030 KM behind its name and it was the car's maiden race.

The car survives to this day and now seems to reside in Switzerland.

The photo measures approximately 7 x 5 inches.
