Ferrari 330 P Fantuzzi SpyderS/N 08221964
Vintage 1964 Photo, Ferrari 275P S/N 0822, crashed at the Nurburgring 1000KM.
This is a vintage 1964 photo of the Ferrari 275 of John Surtees and Lorenzo Bandini after it had lost its left rear wheel while in the lead of the Nurburgring 1000 KM race.
John Surtees had first set the fastest lap in the race and the duo was leading the race, on their way to an almost certain victory when the left rear wheel became undone and made the car crash.
In the picture, you can see the car and the strange skid marks it had left on the road surface and the loose rear wheel being tucked away in the cabin.
The car was raced a couple of times more (amongst which the 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans) by the factory before it ended up in private hands.
It now seems to reside in France.
The photo measures some 24 x 18 cm or 9 x 7 inches, is in near mint condition and carries NO copyright notice.
This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.
Only 1 available.
