Vintage 1960 photograph of Ferrari 250 GT SWB Bertone S/N 1739GT.

This is a vintage 1960 Bertone press photos of one of the very few Ferrari's for which Bertone designed the bodywork.

It shows the car in its original 1960 guise which also shows some details which have changed over time (3 lug spinners instead of 2 lug spinners originally, details of the chrome side trim, side markers etc.).

The car was originally built for the Geneva Salon of March 1960 and survives to this day in Mexico.

The photo measures some 24 x 18 cm or 9.5 x 7 inches.

It is in excellent condition and carries the Carrozzeria Bertone stamp + a short caption on the back.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

1960 photo of Ferrari 250 SWB S/N 1931GT at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

This is a modern print from the vintage negative, of a pitstop during the 1960 24 Heures du Mans, showing the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB of George Arents & Alan Connell Jr.

The photo has never been published.

The car (S/N 1931GT), which was entered by the NART, finished the race in a respectable 5th position with 300 lapes or 4,030 KM behind its name and it was the car's maiden race.

The car survives to this day and now seems to reside in Switzerland.

The photo measures approximately 7 x 5 inches.

Vintage 1963 photo of Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta S/N 1791GT at the Targa Florio.

This is a GREAT shot of Vito Coco in his Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta Competizione S/N 1791GT during the 1963 running of the Targa Florio.

Vito partnered with Salvatore Calascibetta who never got to drive as Vito crashed out of the race in lap 1...

Apparently, Vito sold the car between 1964 and 1966 and after that the history is somewhat clouded.

This is a vintage photo, i.e. it was printed shortly after the image was captured on film.

The photo measures some 9.5 x 7 inches or 24 x 17.5 cm, is in excellent condition and carries the photographer's stamp on the back.

Vintage Original 1961 Le Mans Flyer

Vintage 1961 Le Mans Handbill / Flyer.

These flyers were handed out at the race to spectators to show them around the track.

Very scarce as most of them were tossed away after the race or disappeared into the mists of time.

The cover matches the image of the 1961 race poster which is after a color illustration which was part of the so-called "Major Illustrators" era in Le Mans posters which lasted from 1954 - 1963 and in which the cream of the crop of French motorsport illustrators such as Geo Ham, Jeudon and Michel Beligond were hired for the design of the race posters.

The poster shows a fantastic image, by Michel Beligond, of the # 12 Ferrari 250 TRI/60 powering its way out of the Esses and heading towards Tertre Rouge during the previous edition in 1960.

The combination of warm colors represents the arrival of dusk, highlighting the red Ferrari in the center of the poster. This year, 1961, the race was part of the Sports Car World Championship.

Mint condition.

It measures 5.4 x 8.4 inches and unfolds to 21.6 x 8.4 inches.

The race was won by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien in their Ferrari 250 TRI/61 (S/N 0794TR) with a total of 333 laps to their name.

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1961.

Vintage Original 1960 24 Heures du Mans Poster Department of Transportation.

1960 Le Mans multicolor tourist advertising poster with photo by Yves Debraine, France, using the same artwork at that year's official event poster.

This poster was published by the French Government's office of Transportation and Tourism.

It features the start of the 1959 race with all the cars coming onto the course with the grandstands and pits filled to capacity.

Despite not being the event's poster, this poster is actually at least as scarce as, or even scarcer than the event poster and should not be missing in any serious Le Mans collection.

Measures approximately:
16 x 23 inches
41 x 58 cm

More than excellent condition for its age with some minute fraying at the top and bottom which only adds to the fantastic patina of this poster.

The race was won by Paul Frère and Olivier Gendebien in their Nr 11 Ferrari 250 TR 59/60 S/N 0774TR with a total of 314 laps to their name.

For the full results of this race, please see 24 Heures du Mans results 1960.
