Newly arrived Vintage 1952 Photo of Ferrari 166 Inter Vignale Coupe S/N 0065S

Vintage 1952 Photo of Ferrari 166 Inter Vignale Coupe S/N 0065S.

This is a vintage photo of Ferrari 166 Inter Vignale Coupe after it had been exported to the USA in 1952.

The car can be seen wearing a 1952 New Jersey license plate which is somewhat contradictory to the "official history" of the car which lists it as having been exported to Florida.

The car had previously been entered in the 1951 Mille Miglia, which it didn't finish, and although it appears to be in pretty good nick on the photo, closer inspection shows it to be somewhat battered.

Nowadays the cars seems to be residing in Italy again.

The photo measures some 12.5 x 10.5 cm (or 5 x 4 inches) and is in more than excellent condition for its age.

Only 1 available.

The car survives to this day seems to reside in the USA.

The photo carries some notes on the back but no photographer's stamp.

The photo measures some 23 x 18 cm or 9 x 7 inches, including the generous white border, and is in very good condition for its age.

Vintage Photo - Ferrari 195 Inter Vignale Coupe S/N 0099S

Vintage Photo - Ferrari 195 Inter Vignale Coupe S/N 0099S.

This is a vintage photo of Ferrari 195 Inter Vignale Coupe in all its original splendour in ca. 1955 in the USA.

There is little known about the car except its original Italian owner and that it appears to have been in the USA as late as 1986. Nowadays the engine & chassis seem to have disappeared and the body, which was in pretty bad shape at one stage, is now on a 212 Europa Coupe (S/N 0269EU) which presumably resides in Australia.

In this picture the car sports a 1955 Massachusetts license plate and the setting appears to be correct for that period.

The photo carries a print date stamp of November 1970 on the RH edge.

A truely unique opportunity to acquire a photograph of a "vanished" Vignale Ferrari!

The photo measures some 7.5 x 7.5 cm (or 3 x 3 inches) and is in excellent condition for its age.

Only 1 available.

Vintage 1960's photo of Ferrari 212 Export Vignale Convertible S/N 0106E "6 YMH".

This is a vintage late-1960's photo of the Ferrari 212 Export Convertible Vignale while in the possession of David Clarke of Graypaul Motors fame.

David acquired the car in 1960 and it was auctioned after his death in 2002.

While owned by David, the car was registered in the UK under number 6YMH, as also shown in this picture.

The photo measures some 16.5 x 12 cm or 6.5 x 4.5 inches and is in good condition but does have two mild horizontal creases.

The back carries David's stamp.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

!

Vintage 1976 photo of Ferrari 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta S/N 0152EL.

This is a vintage October 1976 color photo of the Ferrari 225S S/N 0152EL at what looks to be an Italian Ferrari meeting.

In the background there is a Fiat van with Italian license plates and right behind the 225 S are two more classic Ferrari's, one being a 250 PF Coupe carrying racing number 33.

The setting looks to be a race track (Monza?).

Although the photo was printed in October 1976, it was probably taken a little bit earlier in the year. Maybe someone can identify the event and / or the other cars in the picture.

S/N 0152EL was raced extensively throughout its early life, competing in the 1952 Mille Miglia, GP de Monaco, 24 Heures du Mans and the Tour de France Auto.

The photo was taken during the brief ownership of Giuseppe Medici from Reggio Emilia. The car now seems to reside in Brescia, Italy.

The photo measures some 13 x 9 cm or 5 x 3.5 inches and is in mint condition. There are NO references to the photographer.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

Vintage 1952 photo of Ferrari 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta S/N 0164ED.

This is a vintage July 1952 photo of the Ferrari 225S of Mr. Kleber, driven by Jean Lucas to victory in the Sables d'Olonne with race number 112.

It is interesting to see that the car carries the (painted) temporary Italian license plate on the front which reads "BO 11890" which was a carry-over from the previous Italian owner, Franco Bordoni.

This number contradicts other sources which mention "BO 11891".

Somewhere in the mid-1950's the car was exported to the USA where it apparently still resides.

The photo measures some 18 x 13 cm or 7 x 5 inches and is in mint condition for its age. There are NO references to the photographer.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

It is in good condition for its age but, as mentioned, a bit hazy.

!

Vintage 1952 Photo of Ferrari 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta 0178ED at the start of the Mille Miglia.

This is a genuine & vintage 1952 photo of the Ferrari 225 Sport Vignale Berlinetta 0178ED of Count Antonio Sterzi before the start of the Mille Miglia in Brescia on May 3, 1952.

If I am not mistaken, we see the Count himself at the wheel in this photo.

Sterzi partnered up with Nino Rovelli for the race but unfortunately the duo didn't make it to the finish line...

Apparently, the car was in a fire in the 1950's after which the engine and body got separated but both survive, albeit in different parts of the world.

The photo measures some 7 x 5 inches (18 x 12.5 cm) and is matt, somewhat Sepia-toned black & white. It carries NO copyright notice.

This is a vintage 1952 print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

This is a vintage 1953 photo.

It shows the 225 Sport Vignale Spider of Jim Kimberly.

Jim dropped out of the race with gearbox trouble in lap 95.

In 1964 the car was severely damaged when the shed where it was stored was hit by lightning. The car has consequently been cut up and the remains are allegedly burried under what is now a freeway.

A rare opportunity to acquire a vintage image of this important Vignale Ferrari and which is only scarcely documented.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

The photo measures some 10.5 x 7 cm or 4 x 3 inches (excluding the border) and is in mint condition.

It carries NO photographer's stamp on the back.
