Franco Lini 1972 Monaco Grand Prix Armband.
This is the actual armband worn by Scuderia Ferrari's former race team director, Franco Lini.
Lini was engaged by Enzo Ferrari to replace Eugenio Dragoni who was fired by Enzo in 1966 due to continuous conflicts with the press.
Lini, a journalist for French newspaper L'Equipe and Italian car magazine AutoItaliana, was hired to restore press contacts and to run the racing team.
Although Lini was successful on restoring the press connections, the results in racing made him leave by the end of the 1967 season. The Formula One team failed to score a single victory in 1967, lost Lorenzo Bandini in a horrendous crash at Monaco but the Sportscar Team managed to secure the world title, beating archenemy Ford by a single point...
After having left the Scuderia, Lini returned to journalism. He died in 1997.
This armband was worn by Line during the 1972 Grand Prix of Monaco and gave him access to all areas which were reserved for the press.
The 1972 Monaco GP was won by Jean-Pierre Beltoise on BRM with Jacky Ickx taking second place for Ferrari while his team mate, Clay Regazzoni, crashed in lap 51.
In very good condition for its age and of course a unique item.

Ferrari Mondiale 1975 Year Book or "Mondiale" - Factory Edition.
The 1975 year book of Scuderia Ferrari under the guidance of a very young Luca di Montezemolo who brought Niki Lauda to the World Championship title.
Great pictures and elaborate description of each of the 1975 Grand Prix.
Of course also a lot of attention to second driver Clay Reggazoni.
pages in Italian.
Ca. 8 x 11 inches.
This is the rare yellow cloth covered hardback factory edition as opposed to the softcover Arexons edition which was destined for the general public.
This example is extra special since the back of the fold-out "poster" has been signed by Italian Opera singer Mirella Freni on December 21, 1975 and dedicated to Alfonso Vezzelli, Niki Lauda's personal mechanic!
What a chance to combine Opera with your love for Ferrari!
Very good condition (the cloth cover soils easily) but, as visible in the photos, some damage to the binding at the last page.
Only 1 available of course as every autographed item is unique and we provide a Certificate of Authenticity with it which guarantees that this is a genuine signature.
