Newly arrived Vintage Original 1960 24 Heures du Mans Poster Department of Transportation

Vintage Original 1960 24 Heures du Mans Poster Department of Transportation.

1960 Le Mans multicolor tourist advertising poster with photo by Yves Debraine, France, using the same artwork at that year's official event poster.

This poster was published by the French Government's office of Transportation and Tourism.

It features the start of the 1959 race with all the cars coming onto the course with the grandstands and pits filled to capacity.

Despite not being the event's poster, this poster is actually at least as scarce as, or even scarcer than the event poster and should not be missing in any serious Le Mans collection.

Measures approximately:
16 x 23 inches
41 x 58 cm

More than excellent condition for its age with some minute fraying at the top and bottom which only adds to the fantastic patina of this poster.

The race was won by Paul Frère and Olivier Gendebien in their Nr 11 Ferrari 250 TR 59/60 S/N 0774TR with a total of 314 laps to their name.

Vintage Original 1961 Le Mans Flyer

Vintage 1961 Le Mans Handbill / Flyer.

These flyers were handed out at the race to spectators to show them around the track.

Very scarce as most of them were tossed away after the race or disappeared into the mists of time.

The cover matches the image of the 1961 race poster which is after a color illustration which was part of the so-called "Major Illustrators" era in Le Mans posters which lasted from 1954 - 1963 and in which the cream of the crop of French motorsport illustrators such as Geo Ham, Jeudon and Michel Beligond were hired for the design of the race posters.

The poster shows a fantastic image, by Michel Beligond, of the # 12 Ferrari 250 TRI/60 powering its way out of the Esses and heading towards Tertre Rouge during the previous edition in 1960.

The combination of warm colors represents the arrival of dusk, highlighting the red Ferrari in the center of the poster. This year, 1961, the race was part of the Sports Car World Championship.

Mint condition.

It measures 5.4 x 8.4 inches and unfolds to 21.6 x 8.4 inches.

The race was won by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien in their Ferrari 250 TRI/61 (S/N 0794TR) with a total of 333 laps to their name.

1962 photo of Ferrari 250 TRI/61 S/N 0794TR at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

This is a modern print of the vintage negative, taken during the 1962 24 Heures du Mans, showing a pitstop of car # 18, the Ferrari 250TRI/61 S/N 0794TR, of Pete Ryan & John Fulp.

This photo has never been published.

For this car 1962 was the second time that it was entered at Le Mans. The car was part of Luigi Chinetti's NART and in 1961 it had won the Le Mans race, driven by Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill.

In 1962, when this photo was taken, the car crashed in lap 150 / 15th hour.

Vintage 1950s Ferrari Coach Built Upholstery Brush

1950's Ferrari Coach Built Upholstery Brush.

This is a 1950's brush which I believe wasn't made or issued by Ferrari themselves but by a 3rd party, most probably a coachbuilder.

It is about 6 inches or 15 cm long.

The base is made of white celluloid with the Ferrari logo in relief on the top.

Good condition for its age.

Would make a GREAT accessory for you vintage or classic Ferrari!

Only 1 available.
