Vintage 1954 Photo of Ferrari 375 Plus S/N 0396AM, victorious at the 24 Heures du Mans.
This is a vintage 1954 photo of the Ferrari 375 Plus of Froilan Gonzales and Maurice Trintignant at the finish of the 1954 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The duo raked up 302 laps or a royal 4,016 kms, 1 lap ahead of Tony Rolt and Duncan Hamilton in their D-Type Jaguar.
The car now seems to reside in France after a rebody following the horrendous crash of Jack McAfee and Ford Robinson during the 1954 running of the Carrera Panamericana in which Robinson got killed.
This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.
The photo measures some 8.5 x 11 inches and is in mint condition and carries NO photographer's stamp on the back.
Only 1 available.

Vintage 1954 photo of Jose Froilan Gonzales, 1954 Grand Prix of Britain.
This photo was taken in the pits at Silverstone during the 1954 British Grand Prix and shows Jose Froilan Gonzales with his Ferrari 625 along with chief mechanic Meazza and on the right a gentleman called "Amerotti" according to the notes on the back. Mr. Amerotti is unknown to me.
Fangio, driving for Mercedes, had set the pole position but was overtaken by Gonzales the very first lap and Gonzales did not give the lead away anymore and finished more than a minute ahead of second placed Mike Hawthorn, also on Ferrari 625. Fangio finished 4th in his Mercedes W196.
The photo measures some 20 x 15 cm or some 8 x 6 inches and is a VINTAGE print i.e. printed shortly after the image was captured.
