3 B&W photo prints of the Ferrari 500 of Charles de Tornaco, taken at the 1952 Grand Prix of Belgium at Spa Franchorchamps.
De Tornaco competed in only 4 Grand Prix (retirering in three of them!) and in 1952 he brought the Ecurie Franchorchamps Ferrari 500 home in 7th place.
There is very little know about the man who died at the tender age of 26 during a practice session for the 1953 Gran Premio di Modena in Italy at the wheel of this very same car.
The car is the "customer" Ferrari 500 F2 with S/N 0208 which was the very first Ferrari for Jacques Swater's Garage Franchorchamps and which was raced very extensively.
The prints are modern prints of vintage negatives but we don't have the negatives nor do we know who owns them or if they even still exist so only ONE set available.
Each of the prints measures 5.75 x 4 inches.
