This is a fantastic shot of Jan Behra heading towards the Dunlop bridge during the 1959 running of the 24 Heures du Mans.

Jean was teamed up with Dan Gurney for this race, driving the Ferrari 250TR/59 (S/N 0774 TR) but unfortunately, the duo had to retire after 129 laps with geabox trouble.

The car now seems to reside in Hong Kong.

This is a vintage photo, i.e. it was printed shortly after the image was captured on film.

The photo measures some 7 x 5 inches or 18 x 13 cm, is in mint condition and carries NO photographer's stamp on the back.
