Vintage 1963 Photo, Ferrari 250 GTO S/N 3647GT, crashed at the Nurburgring 1000KM.

This is a vintage 1963 photo of Tommy Hitchcock walking away unharmed from the Ferrari 250 GTO of Prince Zourab Tchkotoua that he had just put on its roof in the Karussell turn during the 1963 Nurburgring 1000 KM race.

Hitchcock would repeat this feat some 3 months later by again putting this car on its roof, this time during the 1963 Tourist Trophy at Goodwood, UK.

The car in question is S/N 3647 which of course survives to this day.

This is a vintage print, i.e. printed shortly after the original image was captured on film.

The photo measures some 24 x 18 cm or 9.5 x 7 inches.

The back carries the photographer's stamp along with a lot of scribbling.
