This is a vintage photo of Eugenio Castellotti en route to victory in the 1956 running of the Mille Miglia.
It shows Eugenio in his Ferrari 290MM, S/N 0616, in the pouring rain in the Bolognese part of the Apenine mountains.
The car in question survives to this day and now resides in the USA.
The photo measures some 23 x 18 cm or 9 x 7 inches and carries NO copyright stamps.
