Vintage 1956 photo of Juan Manuel Fangio, Eugenio Castellotti & Peter Collins on Ferrari D50, Grand Prix France.

This is a vintage 1956 photo of the three Ferrari gentlemen during the 1956 Grand Prix de France held at Reims race track.

Fangio drove chassisnumber 0010 (Last of the Ferrari produced copies of the Lancia D50) to 4th place, while Collins and Castellotti made it to first & second in chassisnumber 0008 and 0009 respectively.

In the photo the trio is headed by Fangio in the number 10 car, followed by Castellotti in # 12 and Collins in # 14. It is funny to see that the gentlemen would finish in reverse order from this picture.

The other two Ferraris, driven by Olivier Gendebien and Alfonso de Portago dropped out of the race with clutch and gearbox problems respectively.

The photo measures some 22 x 16 cm or 9 x 6 inches, is in mint condition.

The back carries the photographer's stamp.
