This is a vintage 1956 photo of Peter Collins en route to victory in the 1956 Grand Prix de France held at Reims race track.
Peter drove chassisnumber 0008 (Ferrari produced copy of the Lancia D50) to victory, a mere 0.3 seconds ahead of team mate Eugenio Castellotti while Juan manual Fangio, who had set the pole position for Ferrari finished in 4th position. Both olivier Gendebien and Alfonso de Portago dropped out of the race with clutch and gearbox problems respectively.
The photo measures some 17 x 12 cm or 6 x 5 inches, is in mint condition.
The back carries the photographer's stamp.
