The incident happend in lap 4 of the 1957 Monaco Grand Prix after leader Stirling Moss "lost" his Vanwall in the chicane. Peter Collins swerved to avoid Moss but hit the wall while Mike Hawthorn rammed Tony Brooks who braked hard to avoid the cars in front of him.

Everybody escaped this accident unharmed.

The photos each measures approximately 5.5 x 3.5 inches.

The set is in mint condition, carries not references to the photographer and appear to be a ca. 20 year old prints from the original negatives.

It was issued by the Press Center of Monaco and counts 18 pages which elaborate on the upcoming race and historical data.

Ferrari's Lorenzo Bandini worked his Ferrari 512 up from a 4th place on the grid to second place overall at 1 minute behind race winner Graham Hill on BRM. John Surtees managed a 4th place with his Ferrari 158 eventhough he ran out of fuel on the last lap.

As usual, the posters shows an image from the previous year, 1969, in this case the # 6 Brabham-Ford of Jackie Ickx battling it out with the Lotus-Ford of Graham Hill who would go on to win the race.

In 1970, Jacky Ickx was the only Ferrari driver in this race and he had to retire his 312B in lap 11, while in 5th, with halfshaft trouble.

The race was won by Jochen Rindt in his Lotus 49C.

Both Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni drove a Ferrari 312 B3. Regazzoni finished in 4th place while Lauda suffered from ignition problems while in the lead and failed to finish the race.

Ferrari entered a 312 T2 for both Niki Lauda and Clay Regazzoni. Lauda went on to win the race while Regazzoni had an accident in lap 73.

Has faded to a good degree but still one of the rarest posters from the 1970's.

This is one of the ultra scarce poster which were not for sale but distributed around the local Monaco commerce to be put on display to actually advertise the race and are recognizable by the text "Exemplaire non destine a la vente" on the back.
